Can't say for sure yet, but the premise is absurd; imitate the smell of spray and they don't go there anymore? They always go to the same place. The product has no unpleasant smell.

I bought this item because my cat marked a spot in the house. This product only works if you spray it every day. One day I forgot to spray and the cat marked the same spot again. So if you don't spray it all the time, it won't work!

I've had no luck with it. My kitten has only peed *less often* on my curtains when I've used her for the intended purpose. I ended up just taking down the curtains and getting another window covering that he couldn't reach. >SIGH<

The spray did not damage the sofa which was a plus and there was no noticeable odor for us. But maybe the cat didn't have a noticeable smell because he kept urinating on the couch, even after we washed the cover and sprayed it twice a day as recommended. Maybe it works for some and not for others?

We were having issues with our cat's tagging, the vet had already seen him so we had to try something else to help. It had a decent rating and reviews. The cat doesn't care how much or how we spray, it still leaves tiny stains of urine everywhere. Great idea, doesn't work on our cat.

Sprayed the area twice a day and for the first 3 days I thought it was working. Today she came out of her birding room and went straight to a chair and splashed. Never sniffed the area and didn't shoo the smell away. Once again, Cat wins products that supposedly DO NOT WORK. I would say the scent is pleasant when it works.

My cat pees in our small half of the bathroom where the tray used to be but we moved it upstairs so she will stop peeing on the floor next to the tray at the top . Worked great for a while! After the first 2 times she only ever went down #1 and #2, the stairs are obviously too much exercise for my little nugget but maybe it will work for other people - my cat is just as determined (i.e. stubborn) as anything I've ever seen have.

This product will change your life. As soon as I sprayed it on problem areas, my kitty sniffed it and stopped pooping in those areas. I was confused. I have two trays that I keep perfectly clean. And from time to time one of the kittens would run around the corners of the bathroom. Now I think she marked her territory from another kitten. Now that she's not pooping on the floor my second kitty will be going to the bathroom again while we're there. The two kittens also seem to get along better…
