Good collar: Simple collars

Good, stable collar. We have a 50 lb American Staffordshire that we bought it for and it's perfect. We're ordering another one for our new rescue bully because we love it so much. It's looser when you're not tugging and tighter when you need to. The buckle makes it perfect.

Pros
  • Comfortable alternative to the choke collar
Cons
  • Minor problems

Nylon Martingale Collar

Perfect for driving our powerful Great Danes! Properly adjusted, it will tighten enough to cause discomfort if you actually swing or try to pull hard, but won't be able to tighten enough to cause any real damage. I'm 65 so I'm not that strong anymore so it helps me and them be safer.

Pros
  • QUICK RELEASE: This collar is easy to put on and take off from your dog
Cons
  • Capacity

Works great with my German Shepherd

My German Shepherd gets upset when he sees other dogs. She is on medication but is still panicking and doing her best to get off the leash and we almost lost her by the collar and harness. Had to buy this for her when we go out in public and it was perfect. I'm sure she's well protected in it

Pros
  • Martingale loop prevents dogs from falling out of the collar and escaping
Cons
  • Almost never

Looks like quality in collars

Shelter --- She is a 3-year-old adult who weighs just under 65 pounds - she'll probably get to about that at some point his 68-70. This collar has all the adjustments she needs, ranging from 1 1/2 to 2 inches. This environment is great for what most people would call a big dog. Big would be MUCH big.

Pros
  • DURABLE NYLON MATERIAL: The nylon material is comfortable for your dog when walking
Cons
  • Empty

Excellent collar on collars, harnesses and leashes

This collar is great. I love the martingale collar that keeps my dog on a leash which we don't use often. My only complaint is that when he's not using the leash, it twists around his neck, causing his mark to be placed on the back instead of the front at times. And then my other dog chews his tag. It's not a big deal but I would like it to be more consistent and stay with the label on the front.

Pros
  • This collar is the same size as the collar when fully tightened or closed
Cons
  • I'll write later

Perfect for what we need

We have a dog shelter that hates collars and is told where to go (honestly lol) but has a collar must carry if we continue a journey or if he escapes. The only thing that worked for him were the little loop collars from the shelter before. We tried everything else, he just shook his head and it was gone. He's been wearing this for a week now and he's survived an escape, a visit to the vet and a visit to an animal shelter for a check up and it doesn't seem to bother him too much. It's loose…

Pros
  • Recommended by vets and trainers as the best everyday design
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

So far so good with the basic collars

Received this collar today and decided to give it a try. I have a 1 year old Goldendoodle who weighs about 47 pounds but pulls like a horse. I have tried harnesses with a front clip and a soft leash. The harness is fine but he pulls very hard and he ends up getting sores under his front legs and my shoulders are shaking badly. The soft leader is a really great tool, but it resists and scratches your face trying to remove it, not to mention foaming profusely at the mouth with use. So I thought…

Pros
  • SECURE AND RELIABLE: Martingale collars have a secure fit to prevent dogs from running away or pulling away from the collar
Cons
  • Large and bulky
