Great organizer that fits in a shorter drawer.

We have a small kitchen island where we prepare all meals. This allows us to safely store our knives in one of the island's short drawers, right where we need them. We used to store them loose in a drawer that was bound to be crammed with other paraphernalia. All of the knife organizers I could find locally were too long. Check the measurements in the product description - I found them accurate.

Works with all types of knives (except cleaver)

What I like about it is that all my knives work except cleaver. At first it seemed too short for 300mm knives, but add 2 jaws from the end to support the handle and you're good to go. Thick 5 mm spiked knives, even if they are short, are not a problem because the slats bend. It's true that a two-tiered design is better suited to smaller knives, but they'll work just as well, just less elegantly. The design also promotes good airflow, reducing the risk of corrosion of the nozzle blades. In every

Good but could be better

Benefits: Matches our range of knives perfectly. The product appears to be well made and our knives are well protected. The width is also perfect for the space we had in YMMV's drawer. Cons: I wish it could stay in place, the holder keeps sliding back into the drawer. More grippy legs or something like that might help. Also, our largest knife has a very heavy handle, with the handle sloping down and the tip sloping up. I wish there was a slightly wider lip on the back of the holder to support…

Great idea for storing knives

I've always wanted to protect the edges of my knives. One of my most important cooking needs is a sharp blade. I really like how it keeps my knives in place without having to worry about pulling the right knife out of the drawer and cutting myself. Everything is organized and in its place, easy access. My drawer was wide enough to buy 2 so I have all my kitchen knives on one side and my steak and paring knives on the other. Solid plastic construction but feels strong enough to withstand wear…

works for me suitable for blocks and knife storage

*Good news* I bought this to hold our steak knives. I don't see any problems with that as far as it's intended. It consists of hard plastic and is lined with rubber (silicone?). The knives fit perfectly. *Not so good news* The packaging was terrible. The knife dock came in factory packaging (with a large front cutout for presentation) and in thin plastic packaging. So the box was ripped open and there were a few chips and scuffs on the knife dock crossbars. Since this doesn't interfere with his

Quality Knife Blocks

I wanted to reduce counter clutter so I needed something that would fit in a drawer. This dock looked like Revain's best drawer solution, although it felt a bit pricey for a simple plastic holder. But it's high quality and just what I need. I was surprised at how heavy it is - not a cheap plastic tray like some drawer organizers. To keep your wide bladed knives lying flat in the dock, try balancing the knife on your finger where the handle meets the blade. If the side of the blade is heavier…

Best for half a dozen knives

I've tried many different knife organizers. I regularly use 5 basic knives: a bread knife, an 8" chef's knife, a 6" chef's knife, a cheese knife and a paring knife. The cabinets over the counter don't allow me to use the vertical knife block or the magnetic bar. I need an organizer that sits flat on the counter. I used the cork knife dock for a while but eventually the knives cut the cork. It still worked but looked shabby. I've tried a few plastic organizers but they all seem to be made for…
