I took the ring to a jeweler who noticed a seam running the entire inside of the ring. He wondered if the ring was hollow! Now I don't know if the ring will break when I try to engrave it.

Buyers beware - when I took the item to the jeweler they confirmed it was hallmarked '14k'. Not platinum. I give it 3 stars because it costs at least 14,000 and the jeweler said it was in the reasonable dollar range based on current gold prices.

Someone wrote earlier that they were worried about the engraving because there is a seam in the ring and they were afraid it might be hollow. Yes, it is actually empty! If that doesn't bother you, then do it. If you are looking for a solid platinum ring, this ring is not for you.

I really wish I could give this one a negative star but I gotta give it at least one I say this isn't glued together it's hollow it's not rounded anywhere so it fits it comfortable in what happened was ashamed of them
