Easy to load in garage and shop

Works very well - much easier than my old lever type. Loads easily. One star off only because the lever handle is a bit too big for my hand. Donald probably wouldn't have a problem with that.

  • Confident
Cons
  • Expensive

Plus 30-416 review

This is the grease gun you need for those hard to reach places. For many years I fought with my lever action shotgun that my father gave me with a hard line. Thanks to the pistol grip and flexible cord, working with this pistol is much more comfortable. I bought this to lube my '06 Chevy HD2500 Duramax and I was able to easily get all the fittings without the need for special ends which I thought I might need to get into some really hard to reach places . GOOD PRODUCT!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Terrible cheap fake

Wrong gun on the picture. I have a 20 year old John Deere grease gun that I really like, but it's just worn out. It looks the same in the picture so I figured Plews must have built them for Deere. I was thrilled to find what I thought was the same pistol again. Not so. I got a cheap piece of junk. Although similar is not the same. I know this without even using it because it's identical to the Case IH my dad bought which didn't last long. Will send this back. Maybe it's ok for light use but I…

Rugged design and construction

I gave up the much more expensive Lincoln pistol grease gun and bought this. It works, and has a neat little design feature that allows you to pop the pistol back open by pressing the air release button after you've loaded a cartridge. valve instead of using a wrench. Nice gesture. I purchased a Lumax LX-1404 90 degree silver grease coupler which makes it much easier to grease the front suspension links on my truck without lifting it on a lift. The pistol grip and 90 degree clutch changed the…

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Coupling is virtually non-removable

To remove the coupler from the transom you literally have to unscrew the coupler to the last few turns and use your full weight to pull the coupler and hose with both hands. Then your arms fly back uncontrollably and crash into something much harder than they are. I cut off a zerk trying to disengage the clutch while fully tightened before figuring it out. Leaving the coupler screwed on enough to move it quickly from mirror to mirror will cause grease to ooze out of the threads between the…

  • Inexpensive

  • So-so

Shame on you good tools for tools and gadgets

I don't care if our American brands outsource production. I prefer to buy USA made but I understand globalization (I understand I didn't say I liked it). So if a manufacturer has a product made to their specifications in another country and puts their name on it, that's fine as long as they have proper quality control. It's just a cheap Chinese shotgun called Plews. There is a wide, flat, cheap thread on the barrel that is guaranteed not to last long. Buy something else. I put mine right back…
