NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!

I bought this product because I wanted to explore gaming videos. I did some research and found the Elegato to be the best, but it was a bit out of my price range. This one seems fine until you actually try it. It only gives you two small cables (about 1ft each) and you have three connectors (meaning you need three cables) so you'll need to bring your own cables (which are conveniently not listed in the product description). I've found it doesn't work with a Nintendo Gamecube, Wii, or Switchโ€ฆ

Doesn't work and support can't help, just don't buy.

Okay, first they're going to tell you about the HDCP nature of HDMI that's built into the PS3, adding that it's also present on the Xbox. So they tell you that you need to find a way around something that they can't advise you on because it's against the law. Fair enough you go and research, pass the HDCP through the splitter and come back to them saying it still doesn't work. They then say that there is also EDID data that you can't do anything with, that HDCP bypasses are screwed up. So there

Ehh, close, but it's coming back.

1080p60 recording with this card will result in completely degraded color reproduction. Actually also 720p60. If you try to capture something at 60fps, whether it's in OBS, vMix or xSplit, you'll end up with very different color rendition. I saw on the manufacturer's website that they gave some explanations on this. The Windows UVC driver is to blame. I'm sure this statement is made in good faith but the bottom line is Magewell and Elgato UVC's don't have this limitation, I can feed them anyโ€ฆ

Excellent capture unit for the money

I use NIX capture unit on Linux. I'm really happy with its recording performance. When streaming with OBS, the CPU usage for streaming is acceptable and the overall streaming quality is really good. There is a color difference between 30 and 60 fps, unfortunately I'm not sure which one is correct as I'm using a very crappy LCD TV connected to a loop-through connection. Both look good during gameplay (through pass-through) and when capturing. No amount of video filter work could make it 100% the

You go and redeem yourself completely!

After a problem with this unit, the owner of the company contacted me and offered me the best customer care and experience I have had from the manufacturer in a long time! If you are having device issues and are using streaming software (OBS, StreamElements, or StreamLabs), please note that it doesn't matter which capture card you use unless you "disable" the card before using your Turn off the console or streaming programs. run into problems just because the software has problems. I've testedโ€ฆ

Bought 2 and recommended.

What do I like?1. They were very easy to set up. Very small and compact so it was easy to take them EVERYWHERE (I move them from room to room)3. Requires virtually no configuration, just plug and download4. Very light weight and well built.5. Bought two because the prices are so good, very very cheap for an external game capture device. What I don't like?: 1. The sound source has to come from HDMI, but it doesn't matter if you have the right tools and gadgets, you can capture sound from another
