Really great filter for the money until part of the unit cracked and broke around the screws shown in the photos resulting in a rear siphon during a power outage which caused my 50 gallon aquarium to start leaking into my to flow living room. I had no idea anything was wrong until the water poured out. I opened the filter housing and a piece of plastic fell out.

Excellent turtle filter!

Greetings. Before writing this review I wanted to run this filter in real life conditions to convince myself of its effectiveness as a turtle canister filter as I read some reviews here from disgruntled potential turtle owners who were not happy with this filter. This filter works great! I have a couple of yearling snappers, both have about 6 inch shells. Great unit, great support

The next day everything worked (sometimes you just have to leave). Instructions are poor, but at least there are pictures. Error at the premiere. Everything is within the bounds of common sense so it took a while. The first canister, otherwise I would have started it in 15 minutes. I have a 40 gallon factory aquarium with two inches of sand.
