Unsafe, see photo, dangerous driving

These pads are 20 months old and still have plenty of life apart from the middle of the topping has started to break down and soften. I can cut out the middle with my fingernail. It's cheap and unsafe. Do not buy these pads.

Pros
  • Components designed to withstand the rigors of towing, towing, hill climbing and truck lifting
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Brake kits last 18 months

18 months and 23,000 miles the inner pads on both sides are completely gone. The brake calipers still slide freely, but the inner pads are completely worn out. Outer pads are only half lost. The brakes have always been a little louder than others I've had.

Pros
  • Slotted and vented brakes Keep your brakes cool in the most extreme conditions
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Thought it was my brake fluid, had a mechanic check it (about a month ago) and he informed me the fluid was getting very hot. He recommended that I replace the pads and rotors that I bought from Power Stop with OEM or…

Pros
  • High quality stainless steel gaskets provide better heat dissipation for improved braking performance with little to no noise
Cons

Dreadful. STAY AWAY for brake kits

UPDATE: As a lifelong mechanic, I've probably changed a hundred brake kits (pads, rotors, calipers). This is probably the most expensive junk I've ever installed. I followed the carefully crafted instructions to the last detail, and yet these rotors made a loud hum when stopped in my wife's 2009 trip. every time If the company had a gap, I'd put those awful rotors and mediocre pads squarely in the middle. Never again. I wanted my money back some time ago and they persuaded me to give them more…

Pros
  • Dust-free braking performance
Cons
  • Slightly torn
