Large Heavy Duty Tripod

Bought for my wife's new camera. She bought a heavy 12 inch zoom lens that other tripods wouldn't hold. This thing works great, super smooth movement, strong enough to hold heavy lenses, she is very happy with it. Happy wife happy life!

  • Pretty Packaging

Coman DV1000 - Tripods and Monopods

Not very heavy but wouldn't take it on a hike. It's too heavy to carry all day. This is ideal for video recording where you can drive right up to where you are filming. The Coman DV1000 is well built and rotates/tilts smoothly. It fits easily in a full-frame DSLR and just about any lens you can put on it.

  • Confident
Cons
  • Not an Assault Rifle

Surprised Best quality among tripods and monopods

I was surprised by the workmanship of this tripod. and yard sale. So I decided to try this one. I was drawn to his liquid head. So far it looks very smooth. I hope I'm not too hasty with this review. But so far I'm very satisfied.

Best tripod I've ever used

This tripod is a technical masterpiece. Strong and strong and beautiful. I switched from a lightweight model to this one and it has made a world of difference. I put my 20 x 60 x 60 scope on it and plugged in my iPhone to see how well it captures at 130 yards. I was really impressed. Both with the ease of use of the tripod and the sharpness and clarity of the image at 130 yards. I highly recommend this tripod. This is the guard. End of the story.

Better than Ravelli and Viltrox

If you're looking for a professional tripod that won't break the bank, this is the best tripod your money can buy. uses all competitors of this Coman model: Viltrox, Ravelli, "Heavy Duty". And this is definitely my favorite. It stands taller, the soft-brake head is solid for its weight, and most importantly, the leg clamps are faster, firmer, and less annoying. Tripods should help, not frustrate. I hate nob twists and turns. The clips on it are a joy to use. I bought three of these and have…

Amazing design, great for tripods and monopods

Love the feel. He is durable. There are two things I would like to improve. All the orange parts you see in the picture are plastic and the FLUID HEAD HAS A SPRING IN THE NECK. IF YOU TILT AND RELEASE IT WILL RETURN TO THE NORMAL POSITION (You can't release the tension in the tilt. SO SAD! It has to be loose for me to control it. I have to tip it and then tighten it to get it in place and Stay in place Ground screw on rubber tips If all the plastic parts were replaced with metal that would be…

Ideal for mirrorless rigs up to 15lbs

This is the perfect tripod for mirrorless cameras! Hard enough to stay calm. Light enough to move. I would never use this on an Alexa, Red or Blackmagic Ursa but most other cameras will be fine. Very narrow at all corners. The best part is that I can adjust the resistance to allow for smooth panning and tilting. When I first opened it the only problem was that the tilting mechanism was loose because it was stuck. A small towel and pliers made it easy to peel off without scratching. The truth…

The tripod clamps read

So I bought two of these thinking they looked sturdy and the plus for me was the color to match our corporate colors and I liked the sleek look. On set, after 2 months of use, one of the tripods began to slide down, even in the locked position when filing. I thought, okay, maybe it wasn't blocked. This weekend the second tripod just slid down (while locked) with my Black Magic camera on it, we were shooting indoors and it fell, hitting the wall and smashing the lens. I will not buy this tripod…

The durability is worth the extra money.

I bought a couple of lighter tripods in the $40-$60 price range for daily outdoor blogging and eventually they were showing all the signs of wear and tear, lost parts etc. So I decided to get into this one Slightly more expensive but more powerful tripod to invest in tripod and I love it. You'll immediately feel its power - it doesn't wobble when panning and the cameras fit snugly against your head. The leg and head systems are completely different than lighter tripods and take some getting…
