Perfectly replaces Elixr ELX-20.

Electronically this was a great replacement for my failed ELX-20. The PDI website claims this unit is an exact replacement for the ELX-20, but it is 1/2" narrower and 1/2" taller than the ELX-20, so some woodwork was required. I have replaced 3 ELX-20's in my camper over the last 13 years. The latter lasted only a year and a half. Let's see how long it lasts and update the review if necessary. The only thing that could be improved is the installation guide, which leaves some questions…

What my battery required

I've gone through several batteries in my van over the past few years. I was very surprised that after a year of use the battery just wouldn't accept it anymore. After a little research I found that the problem wasn't with the battery but with the charger. My old WFCO charger apparently charged them. Now, this Progressive Dynamics device uses a three-stage charging system. After installing this device and running its tests, it successfully revitalized my battery. Previously, the battery only…

Worked great in my 1984 Alaskan Outdoorsman Camper

This was a nice upgrade for my camper. It has more power than the original power converter from the same company and also more circuitry. I was able to disconnect several different circuits directly from the panel right at my fuse. And the fan is very quiet, nothing interferes with turning it on. It took some study, study, reading on the internet and forums to get familiar with RV wiring. And I had to call the company once to ask a question, but the tech support was A+++ First Cabin. If you…

Works great so far.

Good standalone all in one, made in USA. I've had it for 1 year now and it still works as it should. I wish I had gone for a larger model because I ended up needing more DC circuits than the 5 that this unit offers. I use this for off grid DC lighting, car stereo and 12v outlet for phone, laptop etc. Also I have a couple of AC circuits that drain from this when the generator is running. The charger works well although it is confusing the first time. You will hear the battery electrolyte boiling

Perfect fit for my small home build camper

Whilst I wish the guides, tips or instructions were a bit more helpful I found this converter absolutely perfect for my needs (after figuring it all out). It accommodates three 120V circuits (one needed for the 12V system and one for the main line). I connected it to power two 12v fuse boxes (each with about 6 items like lights or usb sockets) but it can power four 12v circuits. You will need your own fuses for the 4 circuits. I think it can support two batteries, but I connected it to an H8…

Great little food center!

This is a great compact powerhouse. The charger keeps our AGM battery perfectly charged and the converter works great with all our DC devices. For those wondering it will work without a battery as I used it for about a month before I was able to install the battery. At the moment we only have a 15Amp main switch, a second 15Amp switch for the DC to DC converter/charger and a third 15Amp switch that feeds multiple outlets in our RV. If desired, the circuit breakers can be replaced with duplex…
