Although I have a narrow foot and bought the 8N, the sock was too tight. I think years of wearing bare feet and sandals has allowed my toes to splay. I found the shoes a bit short which is surprising for my 7.5-8 feet. The heel fits well and doesn't slip. The sole is minimally padded, which makes the shoe uncomfortable. Returned.
