Okay I'm no mechanic but my buddy works on my 2005 Tahoe. I bought this filter and gasket because they said they would fit. Well it isn't. It turns out that there are shallow and deep transmission pans. Tahoe has a deep swamp. This filter was for a shallow pan. For a few dollars more I could have bought a replacement instead of this smelly AC Delco. I didn't even dare to send it back. I just went to Auto Zone and bought the one that fits.

I bought this filter specifically because I know the H3 uses a special pan, clearance for the front drive shaft, and I've used that in the past got the wrong filter. Revain says it's compatible, but I skipped the other filters just in case because the seller replied that this was the correct one. And now I spend an hour of my day running to the parts store to get the correct filter because it does NOT fit the H3. So don't buy this filter for this application unless there is a 2WD version that…
