I bought this Ives color wheel to have a wider choice of colors than the smaller standard wheel. I don't have the smaller platter on top so it's a bit more difficult to use than the smaller ones, but it does include a group color selector on the wheel. Big!

I don't see anything negative about it yet. Its width is about a foot. The colors are bright and saturated. Colors are displayed on one side. On the other hand, it will tell you which colors are best to mix with each of them. This is useful when you want colors to blend more smoothly, for dyeing, yarn, etc.

The board is extra large. It's actually too big for me because my makeup space is limited. I particularly like the thickness of the board though as the postman squeezed it into my mailbox instead of leaving it by the door which resulted in a crease in the board but it is still usable. But the board is great.

The only "right" color wheel I could find. This is the Munsell wheel, more scientific than classic. It is a system used in typography and other precision printing. As you can see, pure green contrasts with something other than pure red - that's true.

I honestly bought this because I don't know how to combine colors when choosing outfits and headscarves that go well together. This particular wheel shows 3 different assignment possibilities under EACH base color. Perfect for people like me! The fact that they showed me what colors go together helped me SO MUCH! I should have looked more closely at the product photo before purchasing, but I was lazy and decided to purchase as the reviewer incorrectly stated it was a Munsell color wheel. Now that I have it I can clearly see that the center is based on 3 CMY colors while the muancel is based on 5 primary colors (red, yellow, green, blue, purple).
