Worth the money good for oil filters and accessories

The Purolator Boss is one of the heaviest oil filters I have ever used. This is definitely my favorite thing to buy. The heavier the filter, the more filter elements it contains, so weight is usually the best way to compare oil filters. It always has a very cool coloring. I use BOSS on both of my machines as well as a Scag zero turn mower.

Probably overkill but gives reassurance

This oil filter is very reliable. thicker body Synthetic filter media are robustly constructed. An earlier paper version of Purolator had the highest performance rating, but it appears that this material could release fibers under certain conditions. Don't worry at all. I still change (synthetic) oil at 5,000 mile intervals, but I am using very little oil in an engine approaching 300,000 miles so I will continue with the premium maintenance program.

DO NOT ORDER THIS FILTER unless you want to get stuck on the road in Oklahoma.

Two weeks ago I changed the oil and filter in preparation for a cross country trip. We're driving from Atlanta, Georgia and driving 30 miles from Elk City, okay, and my oil light comes on. I stop, assess the situation and notice that oil is spraying out from under the filter. When I removed the oil filter after asking Take-Out-Taxi to supply a new one, I noticed that the filter's rubber seal was deformed. Which oil filter jerks?!? I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
