Very complete wiring package, good quality

Did the trick for a Cerwin Vega powered subwoofer in the rear of a Jeep Wrangler. I had to run a lot of cables from the back and neatly to the battery. The only thing I would change is the screw connection for the battery tip, not the crimp for thick 4 gauge wire.

However - the price is good

This product was a budget choice for me and it shows in the quality of the cables, connectors and description. I bought this item based on the picture because the description clearly says it is something else. However - good price, bad - wire gauge is more like 8-10, definitely not 4AWG. On the first attempt at crimping, the plugs clicked into place, and the "gold plating" was also erased. It works, but it's not the premium product I would expect from a company like PYLE.

Not 4 gauge but it fits me perfectly.

Should have paid more attention to the reviews because it's true that this is definitely not a 4 gauge harness. But it works great for my purpose. Drives a small BOSS "1100 watt" amp that really only powers a $16 Boss 10" subwoofer. If you're building a REAL system, it's better than this. But it works fine for most of the light installations I highly recommend looking elsewhere I really liked that there was a "remote" cable attached to the RCA cables which made the whole installation a lot…

Criminal negligence! 60A fuse with 40A wire!

I'm here to repeat what everyone else is saying. This is 4 gauge 8 gauge plastic insulated wire. The packaging says it's rated for 1600 watts, which is criminal irresponsibility. Note that the description says it's good for 90W and should be spot on for that. Speaking of negligence, the nice built in fuse holder houses a 60 amp fuse. The problem is that 8AWG wire is only rated for 40 amps! If the included fuse blows, your car could be a fireball. PLEASE change the fuse to 30A and do not require

False advertising/ripoff

As everyone has said, this is falsely advertised as 4 gauge wire when in fact it is 8 gauge wire. The real problem, however, is that all connectors that are designed to connect to 4-gauge wire are actually 4-gauge wire. This presented a major problem when attempting to fit the pieces together. Basically, the cable is too small to properly connect to the ports, making the kit almost useless. Well, not useless, but definitely not what I was looking for. Now I've spent hours soldering those…

This is not 4 gauge cable

First of all the cable says it is 4 gauge cable, it is not. The actual wire is more like a six or eight gauge and the plastic coating more like a four gauge. So wire accessories like clamps and anything designed for four gauge wire, but they don't even fit properly because you're putting them on real wire, not plastic. But I installed it anyway, thinking everything would be fine. Fast forward 4 months and I can smell rubber burning driving down the freeway and what do you know my trunk is on…

Good power cords and connectors and fuse are all bad.

The wire is 4 gauge AWG not just 4 gauge which means it contains a sized shield so it's actually only 8 gauge but what do you expect the $18.00 kit is actually 20 foot 4 gauge? It would cost around $50 at a car stereo store. Let's start with other things. RCA is a joke, they have a remote wire connected to them which causes interference, and the speaker wire isn't about 10 gauge, even counts as if it's 10 AWG, is more like a 12 gauge AWG, so the wire is very very small, if you remove the shield

Do not buy!

When I bought this product I knew they were 4 gauge wire. I was completely misled by the overall thickness of the wire when I took it out of the box. When I finally connected the red wire from my battery to the fuse box and removed the sheathing, I noticed that the conductor size isn't really 4 gauge, but the thickness of the wire is the entire sheathing. I removed the 8 gauge wire from my truck which had a thicker center conductor than this supposed 4 gauge wire I bought. The only reason I…
