This thing is a nightmare for those who listen to their music above some background noise. Turn the radio up above a whisper and your music will be overtaken by static louder than an old CRT TV. Save money and buy a cassette adapter, they also have some hiss but it's very low and barely noticeable over the background music.

Worked very well! I have a 20+ year old car with a CD player and I plugged it into the cigarette lighter port and it worked great. I would say if it started creaking a lot I would have to change the channel because the reception was poor but that was a small price to pay for a great product! There was a slight buzz at times when the song was very quiet, but I stuck with the more upbeat songs.

Before that, I bought devices from several brands, I bought PYLE PLMP2A; and I have to say that this contraption tops them all! It's relatively easy to use, with no attached cables, no unnecessary power lines, and no bulky, unattractive styling! This device reproduces sounds beautifully, with strong bass and clear highs! Bought for my car about a year ago when the built in aux socket broke. For the price the quality was pretty decent if you could find a good enough dead station to install it on. I set it to 89.5 and left it connected to the inside of my console and it worked the same way for a while. I took my car to the shop and let my friend borrow it for two weeks when I didn't have a car and he managed to break it down quickly. This little tool is really good for what I bought it for. I mean I've had it for a good two years now? And not once has he let me down or broken me. I don't think the material is that great, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do. A lot of people misuse it. Here's how you should use it to listen to music in your car: 1. Tune your car radio to an FM station where you only hear static. Plug the transmitter into a power outlet (cigarette lighter). 3. Tune to the same FM station as the radio using the buttons on the sides of the transmitter (instructions show how to do this).4.
