Good blade best among power tool parts and accessories

I bought this blade for laying tiles in the kitchen and laundry. I was a bit hesitant based on some of the reviews I read but gave it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised as this blade cut through all my tiles accurately and without chipping. Maybe a different blade would cut faster, but that wasn't a problem for me. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Crumpled

Good price, good performance, essential for cutting glass mosaic tiles

Ordered with a Skil saw for wet apron work in the kitchen. The Skil saw came with a diamond tile blade that shattered glass. This blade cuts glass fairly cleanly and leaves a neat cut surface. Usually it was not necessary to grind down the corner of the cut glass tile, so as not to cut your fingers, and the sawn edge was not shiny, but smooth. If you need to polish them, find something else to do so.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Use it to cut glass

Bought this when we wanted to make a glass tile backsplash but changed our mind. However, I have used it for bathroom glass mosaics and it cuts well on sacrificial tile backed glass. The attached photos show the results of the test piece, however I can't remember if I used the cutting support plate with the delta blade that came with my saw. Note: Cuts very slowly and not particularly better than Delta on ceramic or porcelain tiles.

I get the best edge when the tile is facing down

This is a glass blade at an affordable price. I had a regular tile saw that would eat glass tile. You need to be slow with it and be patient while cutting. I get the best edge when the tile is facing down. Also tape any tiles that have small parts like sticks on them to keep them from flying off. This sanding disc is also better for cleaning bumps: GP15101 Diamond hand sanding disc for grinding, grinding, polishing and for sharp edges / for glass, stone, marble, concrete / grit A+ / grit 400…

Very short life Cutting 1 " glass

I made 6 cuts through a block of 1" glass and the blade stopped cutting (diamonds lost). There was no overheating or internal sparking during cutting, so I can only conclude that the diamond bond on the blade is not up to standard. By the way, I've been a glass engineer for 12 years and I know when a glass cutting blade is mishandled or fed too quickly causing overheating. In this case this did not happen. I replaced it with an MK glass blade and can now easily make up to 40 cuts through the…

False thrift, just for a hobby.

I am a professional glass artist and run a production studio. I cut and sand tens of thousands of pieces a year. I bought this blade. Got a good price. The knife cuts well and smoothly at first. For about 10% of the reference blade (MK-215GL) I felt that the blade cut poorly compared to the feed early in its life. Yes, a steady but very slow feed rate was required. About 20% of the life of the MK-215GL (about 15-20 minutes when cutting 3/8" glass) this blade will deviate from the cut line. At…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • cable is shorter than other picks

This machine cut through my 3" x 12" x 1/4" glass tiles with ease. As a homeowner confronted with installing 4x12 glass tile for the first time, I was intimidated by all the options (and warnings about cutting glass tile) I found. on the Internet. Having done a small portion of the work, I have some recommendations. Use this blade and a snap tile cutter. Thinset has business hours and helps you work faster. A clip-on tile cutter is inexpensive and works great if you can use it to cut large…

Hole NOT properly centered - risk of high vibration

Hole NOT properly centered - causes high vibration and uneven wear. Now I was dealing with TWO different brands, "Reference Abrasives" and this QEP 6-7006GLQ. I checked it by hand and it varied by as much as 1/16th of an inch. Compare this to the regular blade (no glass) that came with the Skil tile cutter, which rotates smoothly on both saws. I actually bought another tile cutter after first discovering the CAP problem, assuming the saw was out of order, I never dreamed the blade would be…
