Only three colors are best in drawing media

I have leftovers from a box - yes they came in a box - of the same product I bought a few years ago. There were SEVEN shades of gray in reasonable gradation. There are only THREE of them in that expensive plastic bubble wrap. They were broken, but I can live with that. However, for my purposes they are completely useless as there are only black, light gray and pale gray.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Too bad

I love these crayons - Drawing

I have bought so many different colored pencils for my kids to use in our art class. It is pure joy to draw with. The chalk is pretty soft and expect it to arrive with fragments, but it's chalk and it works great. I love different shades and it was hard for me to find a set like this.

Pros
  • Great for drawing on paper, fabric or ceramics
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Inexpensive pastel drawing

Very dry material, spent a lot of time coating the paper. So far I've only made 3 drawings 18*24 and used over 50% of the material. There's also only ONE white pastel stick, you'll quickly get over that if you try to blend with it. The seller was great, they arrived intact.

Pros
  • 7 different shades of gray
Cons
  • There are even more interesting possibilities.

WARNING-VERY DRY PASTEL!

The sellers were great but on the other hand I thought the product was cheap, I bought the same product at my school and forgot it was a terrible product and I ended up using the same storage box for unused/useless art supplies. The pastels are like dry chalk, I mean really dry chalk, I think the chalk is wetter than these pastels. They dried out so bad they scratched and ripped the newspaper I used in art class, I was so disappointed in them I crushed some of them and just drew with my fingers

Pros
  • Alphacolor pastels approved by the AP Institute of Art and Creative Materials
Cons
  • Not bad but...
