This is a fantastic quiet pump. Impressive performance even at full setting. Currently working in the sump of my 75 gallon reef tank. I had no problems with that. Operation 2 months. I would give 5 stars but I don't know how long it will last. Definitely a good buy, easy to use and see through.

Bargain.: Aquarium Pumps and Filters

This is a good product at a great price. I've used pumps that cost twice as much and replacement impellers cost more than this new pump. I bought it as a temporary spare but now I use it all the time. Quiet and powerful. Would give it 5 stars if it came with suction cups. I had to use string to isolate it from the vibration in the pan. I like suction cups so I can place them in a specific spot. I'm mainly talking about the accommodation. Found me suckers and now everything is fine.

Reliable, quiet, trouble-free - you'll forget it's there

UPDATE: After almost three years of extremely reliable service, the pump failed. This pump performed well in what I would describe as harsh conditions. Even though I abandoned the plant tank idea, the pump still had to work in water that the EPA rated as very harsh. I replaced it with a DC pump which seems to meet my expectations for even more durability. Blockages, malfunctions, noise, loss of performance, blockages, freezing, blockages, broken impeller spindles, clogs. Who knows how many fish
