Non Stick Protective Gear

This is the second mirror I have bought from this company and it has the same problem as the first mirror I bought, it does not stick (see video). I will not buy mirrors from this company again.

great mirror for the price though.

works for me, love the flexibility to adjust my road bike position. The only problem is that when I ripped the plastic off the sticky pad, the whole pad came off! I ended up smearing it with a few drops of crazy glue and stuck it on my helmet overnight. Since then it has been stable (about a month).

Good little mirror for protective gear

I bought two of these mirrors - one for my wife's helmet and the other for mine. Despite painstaking preparation of the helmet's surface, the double-sided tape on the mount did not stick to my helmet. I used a dab of super glue and clamped overnight and that fixed the problem. On my wife's helmet, just clamping it overnight seems to have worked well. I installed handlebar mirrors on my bike but I don't use them anymore. A quick glance in my helmet mirror tells me what's behind me, nothing more…

Use JBWeld to stick to helmet

I have been using this type of mirror for many years. To hold the base block onto the helmet use a JBWeld putty called WaterWeld. You only need a small amount. The adhesive applied to the base unit is not strong enough to stick to a plastic helmet. There are other epoxy putties that will work as well. These are two-component putties that are activated when you pinch the putty between your fingers just before application. I drive about 5000 miles a year and the plastic socket that the mirror…
