Fair Product Only - Glass Care

This was another waste of money trying to repair salt water damage to the windshield. I can't believe all the products that claim to clean problem glass do nothing but take your money. At least this product was cheap so I don't feel too bad about it. Did nothing, followed the instructions to the letter. To update. Okay, maybe I was being a little harsh, he cleaned my headlights.

My application needed a buffer.

Looks like a fine polish. However, I tried to follow the instructions first, applying and buffing by hand. That does not work. Then I bought a cheap buffer and tried again. This time I was able to remove most of the cover. I'll do another one in the spring. I wish my car wax held up like this.

Thick noodles, not what I expected

I rarely give bad reviews but I always give honest ones hoping my research will save me from bad products. I love the Rain-X line of products. That being said, this material was once very difficult to remove. I started by cleaning the inside of the windshield, BIG mistake. Undressing was/is a nightmare. He's still there. I've tried cleaning it with other means to no avail. If you have small scratches on the glass, maybe this can help, but DO NOT use it for daily cleaning.

Hard work but it seems to be working.

Bought to remove the RainX I installed on my new glass shower doors. I read somewhere that RainX helps prevent stains on the glass. Even though I squeezed the doors after every shower, they looked awful. I've tried everything I could read to get rid of RainX but nothing worked. I've been using it and I'm making progress. I have to apply it 2 or 3 times, use the magic Mr Clean eraser and rub like crazy, but I'm making progress! If you have clear glass shower doors, DO NOT use RainX on them! It…

Windshield Deep Cleaner

Although this product is very effective for deep cleaning windshields, it requires several more steps than the usual windshield cleaner idea. I recommend two microfiber towels for proper cleaning - one to apply the product and another to remove the product. The product is similar to a polish so after it dries to a haze you need to spray the area with clean water and then buff the windshield to a flawless finish. Again, this is a great product, especially for removing Rain-X residue or water…

Extremely difficult to remove - UPDATED to 4 stars

UPDATE: OK, justice is fair and stupid is stupid. My rating was NOT fair and I am stupid. My previous review was based solely on gross ignorance on my part. While it's true that the product dries like a rock, I assumed it would be easy to remove with a cloth or paper towel, which it is, BUT I didn't pay attention to the word RINSE. Once you wet the cured product, it will be much easier to peel off. They have yet to work it out, but in a way that is perfectly acceptable. The result is a very…

This is a cleaner, not a coating, use before processing.

I was initially confused by the name of the product but through some reviews I realized it was a cleaner that was used prior to applying RainX. This cleaning solution fills in the pits and scuffs that inevitably result from dirt/sand etc hitting and damaging the windscreen while driving. This creates a clean and smooth surface on which to apply the RainX treatment. I recommend washing the windshield first as usual, then applying with a folded paper towel until it's down to an inch square. Use…

Good product! Works amazing when you apply elbow grease!

Surprisingly good things. I just bought a used BMW X5 that blinded me badly when I turned on the wipers at night in the rain. It was as if the water were sticking to the windshield and preventing the supposedly new windshield wipers from doing their job. It was pretty annoying and dangerous. Long story short, after treating section after section of the windshield with good ol' elbow grease, residue, stuck juice or whatever the heck caused the dangerous shine was gone! There were a few places…
