Ranger UHMWPE Synthetic Winch Rope Review

Looks good; However, the steel cable on my super winch is routed through a hole in the spool and is not attached to the outside of the spool. Well, let's wait until the cable is completely damaged to replace it. Plastics are excellent for protecting fingers and hands from buckling and chafing from steel cables.

So far so good. I hope it holds up plowing this winter but I'm already enjoying it via the metal cable. So far I've used it to pull some decent sized fallen trees in the woods and it hasn't broken. The sleeve will knock off in the first 5 feet or so if your line slacks as you insert it. Otherwise it's perfect.

I ordered this for my Warn 3500 which I have installed on my 2017 RZR 900 4. I was out hunting and my father in law got stuck in some dirt. 2005 2500hd with 6" lift for rough terrain. RZR and winch nearly pulled my truck out. If that's not a good example of durability, I'm not sure what is. I recommend. I removed the protector because it tied the winch Another thing, buy.

I bought a cable for my quad to replace a cable that broke while using it on my plow. I could cut the rope in half and install it on my ATV. 50 feet was too long to wind. I will leave an extra rope on my quad to use for longer distances if I get stuck. I'm hoping the nylon sleeve on the rope will help the rope last longer when I use my plow - time will tell! 4 stars because I just haven't used it yet!

I bought this to replace the rope on my KFI 3500 lb winch. This rope is larger and longer than the one that comes with the winch. When I first installed the new rope. I held some tension with my hand as I untied it. I forgot I need to put on a new rope. This refers to rewinding a rope under a reasonable load. Installed on a factory Polaris 4500 winch, installed on a General 1000. Installation went pretty smoothly. Fit and finish are good. I usually lure people out.
