Beautiful on aged mahogany decking

My deck was old, gray and ugly. I didn't want to sand and repaint until it was "like new," which seemed incredible, and certainly the rustic look suited my cabin's aesthetic. I used a belt sander for my project, you can see in the before photo that it was lightly sanded, but I sanded just enough to show some of the red grain, which goes very quickly. I like the result very much. The mahogany grain is RED again and looks aged and rustic. Okay, the back steps aren't pictured, I didn't sand them…

Pros
  • FOOD SAFE – Safe for food contact. Excellent penetrating oil for wooden kitchen utensils such as cutting boards.
Cons
  • So so

Natural Chinese Wood Oil Interior & Exterior Paint

This is real tung oil from China. Not what's in those jars in big boxes that you have to renew forever every 3 months. A food safe, undiluted material that has kept its work and is hand polished for 2000 years. I mix half oil with half mineral spirits. Brush, roller, smear with bare hands. but apply freely. leave for about half an hour. Then wipe with a clean white cloth. rub until completely dry. This is a "linseed oil". oxygen catalyzes it. So don't leave puddles on it and don't wipe it dry…

Pros
  • WATERPROOF - Our Tung Oil can be used as a waterproof wood finish. Tested to ASTM quality for a naturally light honey color and flexible waterproof finish.
Cons
  • Security

best to dilute 1:1 with citrus thinner

I have very polished old pine floor with a 1 :1 blend of real milk citrus dilution and pure tung oil. one gallon of each allowed 6 coats per 500 square feet of flooring with impressive results. It was the perfect finish for my floor because I couldn't go more than an hour without it and I'm very sensitive to nasty chemicals. I put on my coat every day and my house smells like aranjs for two weeks! I walked on it with a special pair of slippers which got a little oily but no problem. I have…

Pros
  • MULTIPLE USES - Use wood oil to finish countertops, bowls, cutting blocks, chopping boards, raw wood furniture, decking, wood paneling, hardwood floors, concrete and brick
Cons
  • Socket power required
