Bought this for my welding boots. The product description states that these are laces that are subject to heavy use. Couldn't even lace it up without breaking it. It might be good for crafting or handbag decorating, but I wouldn't exactly trust it as a pet potholder, and it's not good for use as shoelaces. I also question the claim that this is real leather. Feel, Smell, Texture, Weight. It's more like synthetic or foam. Buyers beware.

I wear logging boots to work. It's hard to find a good leather tip here where I live. When I saw them and their price I thought this was my answer to my shoelace problem. Well after I cut some laces to the right length. I put on my boots and began to pull the laces to the desired tightness, they snapped. bad! Good leather for crafting. But not what you want when you're tying up your shoelaces to go to work.

I bought this to replace a broken lace. The new laces broke twice after putting them in my new boots when trying to tie them! The leather looks beautiful and appears to have been tailored throughout as I haven't noticed any thin spots or obvious imperfections. The laces he replaced lasted many years before breaking and I laced/tied my boots like I always did. Skin works for anything that highlights it.
