I used all three nozzles and one cap. Hats don't always fit perfectly. You can remove the security hardware from your container or, on older containers, cut off the bulge that prevents the lid from coming off. I had old caps that worked fine. One glass was brand new but to hold it with two hands and one to press the button leaked everywhere. Now it works great.

The threaded ring provided to cap and seal each spout is not sealed. This product has leaked multiple times on two different types of gas cartridges. This continued beyond the return window, which is far from a positive selling point. In my 30+ years of experience with plastic gas cylinders, only one failed injector has resulted in a leak. The buyer is warned or buys and finds out for himself.

The only one that worked well was my old god 2.5 gallons. I reused my old spout cap collar as the new ones just don't work. My TSG doses are not good. I thought it was my job until I tried pouring gasoline out of it. The outlet seal was leaking and then popped out. I also don't like the new seals that came with my jars and those spouts. They are too thin and unscrew from the mouth of the spout. I want thick washers or heavier versions of these new ones.

Useless. The kit comes with two threaded nuts for the spout. None of them fit any of the 5 cans I tried it on. Managed to get one. Then you know what? The flange on the tubes is smaller than the hole in the nut. The thin rubber seal is too small and weak. This means that after tightening the neck nut on the canister and trying to pour gasoline or diesel fuel, the spout will literally fall off the canister and fuel will spill out everywhere. I used a black connector with a black connector. The plug didn't seem to screw in cleanly, but was more engaged and didn't appear to be airtight. The spout seal has a slight leak when filling the gas cartridge into my lawnmower with a small amount of gas on the surface of the gas cartridge from the connector. I used this to replace the child and user safe spout on the Spectre 5 gallon gas canister. A black cap with thin threads will not work. The yellow threaded cap screws onto the plastic jar but is too long to properly seal the new 8" spout to keep it from leaking. If you buy this you will need to cut the old spout lock nut off the old one. nozzle and use it with this spout. The new vent modification requires a 1/2 inch drill bit.
