Reliable product, I will continue to purchase this line of products

This is the first time I have purchased anything made to truck specification. I've seen their products at truck stops for years but never bought anything just because of the price and it looked cheap. Equity was a gross misunderstanding. This is a great cable with strong connections. 18' is a good length and probably won't have too much loss or impedance. I haven't tested or tuned it for SWR as I bought it for the quick and dirty application it's good for. I've noticed that leaving it minimized

Pros
  • F pin coax tip

  • Legacy model

Neat, basic 18 " coax cable.

This cable isn't premium coax, but it's not junk either. It's just a pretty decent, basic cable. If you take one of these apart, you'll find that the dielectric is almost 100% covered by the screen - that's a good sign. They didn't skimp on the copper to save a dollar. They don't have as effective shielding as good quality coax, but they still shield about 95%, which is good enough for most applications. in a higher quality cable. If you're a CB enthusiast looking for the best of the best, you…

Okay cable, don't be rough with it or you'll damage the cable.

Worked fine the first time it was installed but the SWR was higher than I wanted from day one. Exactly the same setup reinstalled on a new truck and the SWR is too high to use and is internally disrupted by the cheap foam they make this cable out of. The cable is disposable. Removing and reinstalling has affected the cable so I've now replaced it with a Firestik branded one that matches the antenna. Buy a good coaxial cable from the start and check your SWR or you will burn your radio!

Good cable but not weatherproof

This cable has been on my truck for 6 months. It was attached to a bracket on the side of my truck's tool box. After the original installation there were no problems. The swr was excellent, quality seemed good. I drove through some bushes and pulled the cable out of the socket with a stick. It was all my fault. But when I started soldering the new connector, the outer braid of the cable was completely rusted. After removing a good two feet of insulation I found a bright shiny wire. Some water…
