Beautiful wine glasses

I have always liked glasses from the Riedel brand. They are particularly attractive due to the different base colors (looks nice and makes it easier to identify your wine glass). They seem fragile so I hope they hold up well. These crystal wine glasses are not too big and are easy to hold. I am very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Broke almost immediately!

Came in a nice box and looks good. My husband got a glass from a friend and I wanted to order more for him. So I ordered this set. Doesn't hold up well. 2 out of 4 have already broken off. Chips on the inside of the rim. We use them for wine so we don't know why they chip from the inside. The original glass that he received from his friend is still in excellent condition. It's not like this! I do not recommend!

Handy but fragile

One broke due to too much grip on the rim. I have many Reidel glasses with and without a stem. I used them for the first time and one broke while washing by hand. I tried to lift the glass and caught the rim and it cracked. I cracked the first Reidel jar, so I take it as too rough. I like the convenience of stemless wine glasses. I bought them to use when I eat out. I don't want the wind knocking my stem glasses over.

Disposable wine and champagne glasses

This is a step above normal discount glasses in large boxes. They are good but thin and light. I don't expect them to last long. For the price I wasn't expecting lead crystal but I was hoping they would be better. I wouldn't buy them again and since I can't return them they're just sitting here to keep company when we run out of new glasses that I'm going to buy (or more specifically, it will be the glasses I wanted buy) late nights when my wife is already drunk and might break one on the way…

Perfect stemless wine glasses

I ordered these glasses and received them the next day. My package came in a brown box and then the box of glasses inside was wrapped with bubble wrap around the box. They are a bit smaller but perfect for my small hand. I have other stemless glasses and they are so thick that I can't get a good grip on them and I feel uncomfortable holding them in my hand. The colors are soft and beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was the sticker they put on each glass. It took me a while to remove the…

Sweet but delicate. Suitable for kitchen and dining room

Good that they can be washed in the dishwasher but they are fragile. Washing my hands is out of the question for me because my hands are large and they don't always remain stain-free. Hand drying is an option, but then you tend to break them. I usually break one of these at a big family gathering. I stock at least 4-6 stemless Riedel glasses and 4-6 stemmed Riedel glasses, but stemmed Riedel glasses don't seem to survive the dishwasher as well as stemless glasses. For every day I use stemless…

Non-Durable Glass

Very disappointed at the moment. We love the look of these wine glasses, but while drying, one of them broke in my hand after washing my hands. I only hand wash and dry them after use, we use them every two weeks just to give you an idea of how we use them. We have spent a lot of time researching this product and were looking forward to a durable, fantastic glass that will last a few years. This company promises a crystalline blend that is strong and durable while still looking great. I'm…

I love these glasses. Be sure to hide the packaging

I have worn these and other glasses from Riedel and Nachtmann for many years. Love them, never had a problem using them. My sister's children have finally grown up, which means she can finally use better quality glassware. So I ordered them to give them to her for her upcoming birthday. My only problem: CLICK THE HIDDEN PACKAGE AT CHECKOUT. I skipped that extra step and was surprised to see these glasses in their original packaging and with no added protection on my porch. The box is not very…

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • Something else

Nice addition to my modest collection of wine glasses. But it is too much that Riedel has decided to offer several different sizes and shapes of glasses for each major type of wine. This is the limit of what economists call "product differentiation," a well-established marketing strategy aimed at expanding the market for an original product. specially designed for him. Red wines may need larger glasses for a wine straight from the bottle that needs to breathe a little – for drinkers who can't…

The best wine glass

Riedel glasses come as close as possible to the perfect wine glass. They're beautiful and fairly durable, but don't fall apart as easily as the stemmed versions. What I like most about them is their thin and small profile and not the heavy and thick that many cheaper glasses have. I also like the cost as I don't have to worry as much if one of them breaks. The ones I bought are versions of Chardonnay that are small. We use them for all types of wine (sorry!), mainly because of the handy size…
