Unfinished and with rough edges. They must be sharpened for each use. As other reviewers have said you have to remove the plastic backing from each round before use which is not time consuming but annoying. I would not recommend using them for hand stamping as you can clearly see the stamp on the opposite side.

I love it! Absolutely perfect size and very easy to stamp! One side has a very nice protective coating which I really like! Easy to peel off after stamping! I bought for ID card holders. Can also be used for necklaces and keychains. Included is a picture of a spool cap with an icon I created. I sealed the hole with a crystal - the item arrived in a great time and was beautifully packaged!

These stamping blanks are fine. They are as described but different from what I wanted. They are too thin to be stamped on both sides without seeing a slight bounce on the back. They're also a bit large to accommodate the traditional stamped letters found in sets like MyIntention. The letters are too small to look right. Making a dog tag really worked, but I don't have 50 dogs, so the intended use of making gifts from a keychain didn't go as planned.
