Corroded cables within 6 months, cables need to be replaced throughout the boat. The worst part is there's about 250 feet left on the reel. Rockville should look into this as there are several others having the same issue.

This does not match the 14 AWG rated wire size in any way. It's more like a 16-18 caliber, with a thick case. Once the connector is removed, it can simply be plugged into the red connector. In addition, every few meters there are plus-minus markings in barely legible black letters. Worst wire I've ever bought.

This material is junk if you intend to use it for its intended purpose in the "Navy". I installed my boat completely and as an electrician made sure I take my time and do everything right. All of my wires were routed in wire harnesses that were insulated with tape and all wires were terminated with high quality marine grade ferrules. This is not tinned copper wire as described, but bare wire (see picture). This leads to corrosion in the marine environment.

I have connected speakers on a boat with this speaker cable and it works great. This is good ship wire. This is not copper wire.
