The dress was true to size and was very flattering for us women who have a little extra room in the middle. The zipper tends to get caught more often than other dresses I have.

I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs. Ordered a medium size, a bit loose but fits well. I'm sure a small would be too tight. It is like that pretty but a bit thin so would recommend a jumpsuit and yes it passes the rotation test.
