Just be aware if you're wearing this thing it's usually permanent. It's going to take heat and a lot of effort - careful effort not to damage the base of the antenna in the truck - if you ever want to remove it. Mine wouldn't budge. Had to take it to the dealer and they had to replace the base of the antenna, they couldn't get that out either, ugh. I recommend that you wipe the Loctite off and risk someone unscrewing it. Excellent replacement antenna! The solid construction looks well made and fits perfectly with the base. The package includes two different size threads (the larger of the two fits my 18ft F150). I did notice a drop in reception, but that was to be expected. I mostly drive the freeway at about 100 miles a day and it's great, no flexing at freeway speeds. Can't recommend it enough, thanks Ronin EDIT - I pressurize my truck at least once a week and the antenna hasn't moved an inch. Super durable!

Bought because my factory antenna hit the garage door. First of all I would like to say that the product looks great on the truck. The radio reception is terrible. I can scan and retrieve an FM station but none of my presets work. everything static. With the vise in place, I remove the antenna and adapter. Looks great on my truck and eliminates the annoying problem of my antenna getting caught on every pipe and joist in my building's garage. FM reception is poor. Maybe it's because I'm in town, but I often have to turn the dial (turn up one position and then down) to get the radio to clearly identify a station or get an HD signal. I didn't like not being able to put the Damm logo on the left fender. This made me so angry that it kept me busy all evening. Loosened and unscrewed many times to no avail. But the logo always ended up in front of my steering wheel. I even removed the red anti-theft material to correct the situation. I don't use AM/FM so my review doesn't address that other than to say this: The first two channels I tried were static. It is located in the Eastern Bay Area of California. Previously, these two channels were solid. On a day-to-day basis it doesn't bother me, but let's be honest, if it were possible to pull such a strip off a non-motorized aluminum rod that's less than 1/4 the OEM height, I'm pretty good.
