I've had OEM bulbs burn out time and time again on my KTM EXC off-road bike (like on any other ride). I even replaced it with a halogen - cool until it melted the headlight housing and burned out too - lol. I cut off the back of the headlight and mounted one of these. Requires a special mount. I'm riding a hardcore track and my bike gets hit. I've had this light all season with no problems. Now I will buy a kit for its intended purpose and put it on my wife's FJ.

Worst product! I installed them on a new steel bumper and didn't work right away. The technician who installed them stated that the wiring started smoking when he tried to turn it on. He checked both lights and both didn't work. I bought them for a steel bumper I was building. I bought them in January and kept them in a box on a shelf until my bumper arrived in April. It's too late to return them as they've been on my shelf since January. Stay away from steep ridges, stick to well-known quality

These flashlights have a solid construction. The shell is nice and thick, as are the brackets. Instead of some wires coming out the back a few inches and ending in bare copper, they come out about 16 inches or so and end in a Deutsch connector like my hard lights. Then there's the corresponding German pigtail connector that goes to your wiring harness. Just one bulb isn't *that* bright (that's 18 watts ffs) but in my case I use 5 and it's plenty of light and it glows accurately what I need…
