This is not an $800-900 rug with a $200 discount, it is a $200 rug at best. It came rolled tightly but with many deep creases. Those defects don't go anywhere. After two or three weeks they are still there. How to screw up carpet rolls? I bought this as a fancy fabric for my studio because I like to paint barefoot so I got what I paid for. Great fabric, but not for the living room.

Floor plan, with living room directly at the main entrance. My corner of the world has heavy traffic ie mud, snow, ice, rain etc so there shouldn't be a 'good' carpet. This synthetic copy is an attractive and suitable compromise. Not as deep as the picture but still bright, warm, fun and soft underfoot. And easy to clean. So far, so good.

I ordered this rug and when it arrived the 'edges' of the rug were not finished. Since the main white fabric was showing I sent it back to get another one. Second order, white weaving is visible again. It is impossible to lay out a rug without seeing the underlying fabric that holds the rug fibers together. Also, there were a few small spots that weren't covered with fiber. Generally not well made or lack of attention to detail. Unfortunately I love the design and am tired of playing this game…

In general the quality of this rug is decent but I think they are brand new copies. Firstly because the rug I received has the 'unfinished edge' problem shown in other reviews, albeit to a lesser extent. I wanted an inexpensive rug but heavy enough not to slip, move or curl around the corners. I compared price and shipping weight to get an idea of the strength and thickness of the rug. I also wanted red, but not the flashy fire engine red that would overpower the room. I couldn't be happier. A small ripple on 2 corners flattened out within a few hours.
