After around 80-100 miles, wear and tear is clearly visible in many unnoticed areas such as the inside of the heel. The front is not glued either. Salomon could have done a much better job.

The shoe feels well constructed, very comfortable and grippy on a variety of surfaces. But the collar wears out within 7 days of wearing the shoes on the trail, about 30 miles on the trail. Durability seems to be an issue with these shoes. If you can handle a frayed collar, these are great shoes!

The mesh ensures good cooling and ventilation, good cushioning in the Ortholite sole. I love the speedlace system as the laces never come loose while running.
