I've had Solomon shoes before and really liked them. This shoe feels best off the pavement. The Gore-Tex membrane keeps feet warmer and drier than regular mesh. The color is amazing too.

This is a great price for a great shoe but be careful as it runs large. I ALWAYS wear a 10.5 in my Salomon trail running shoes but I had to return this pair to exchange for a 10. The company made returns and exchanges easy and I had perfect new trail runners in no time.

I ordered these in a size 10 which is what I usually wear but they are too big. I should have ordered at least half a size smaller. When I compared them to other size 10's they were about an inch too long. Even with a thicker toe, they are still a bit big. The insole is very comfortable and the sole grip is really good - I think they will be good on ice too.

This GTX W Trail model is designed for trail running. But I overdid buying them for my tennis game. I bought these for tennis to give me super support in every way. I need to run back, take off quickly, and move right and left a dime. Having fallen many times on the surface of the court I said enough was enough and if I was going to continue the sport I needed help with my grip. With GTX WI they are very stable and stand comfortably still. I understand why they apply to trail running as well…
