Great beginner knife for sushi, a bit of TLC makes it great.

Great tool for the price. The incline is excellent. There was one area that had a slight grinding issue. The knife profile also has a problem at the tip. And the butt of the blade is very square and rough. The blade is quite sharp, but I recommend sharpening it for an even edge. (Some parts are a bit sharper than others.) Great knife for sushi or slice!

I recently took a sushi-making class and needed the right tools to successfully practice in the kitchen at home. Amazing price, best cutlery and knife accessories

This is a special knife at a great price. I say this in relation to the manufacturer: if you are a professional sushi chef, you will probably spend more on a different knife. The hobby chef who at least tries to prepare sushi every now and then can hardly do better. The knife is nicely packaged in a sturdy box with magnetic closure. I took a risk and I'm glad I did. Very SHARP knife.

I almost missed it because of the low price but some reviews mentioned it was very spicy. I dared to testify that this knife is as sharp as a razor. It slices sashimi easily. I'm sure it's capable of razor-thin slices, but we prefer our thicker ones. A few caveats: I doubt the blade will stand up to bone or other hard ingredients. I bought this knife after watching on TV how a Japanese man cleans tuna in seconds. Received just before the tuna fishing trip. I caught some great tuna and pulled out this monster knife and found very quickly that the person on TV was a lot better at this knife than me.
