Ordered X-Width but they don't fit X-Width. I'm not even sure if they can be considered normal width. I will stick with Stride Rite or New Balance and stop wasting time and money on that brand.

Good quality, easy to put on unaided by a 5 year old. The insoles can be easily removed for the installation of orthopedic insoles. The child has a normal foot width, but I ordered wide shoes so that the orthopedic insoles fit better. The sole is firmer than most running shoes, good stability.

My son's legs are not only wide at the sides, but also thick from top to bottom. I couldn't fit his foot in as the hole isn't big enough for his toes from top to bottom. They open very wide which is nice and if your son doesn't have big feet they might fit you. But I have to send them back because I can no longer stand on my feet. I still gave 3 stars because they look good and seem to be of good quality.
