Amazing Knives!: Knife Sets

When I say these are QUALITY KNIVES, I mean they are the best knives I have ever laid my hands on. As soon as I picked up the first knife, I felt its amazing quality. It felt so heavy and hard that I started worrying about all the knives I had used in the past. It may seem like I'm exaggerating, but if you've never held a heavy quality knife in your hands before, a real treat awaits. and also every night if you want to add it later. The knives are very sharp and their weight gives you the extra

Great set of knives and holder.

Amazing knife set and holder. My husband told me yesterday that I don't have room for another knife. Turns out I have room for 6 more knives and this cool knife storage box. It not only includes new knives; but it also includes those who formerly held that position. It looks amazing. It's so well thought out. If this isn't your first set of knives, you'll have room for your old favorites. I love these knives. They are strong and sharp. They feel fantastic in hand. The grip has a nice texture…

I really like that they fit in a desk drawer. Less tempting for little fingers. Less things on the counter. And don't cut yourself on it when you get in the box. You'll need a box with a gap of about 3.5 (maybe a little less) to store them. The block is quite heavy, it doesn't slide too much in the box. Now about knives. They are comfortable to hold, as if you were holding a fine instrument in your hands. They are very, very sharp, but as you know, a sharp knife can be safer than a dull one…

Beautiful and high quality

This set of knives with a knife block in the shape of a drawer is amazing. The knives are very high quality and I like the knife block that can be hidden in the kitchen drawer rather than taking up counter space. My wife and I got a very nice set of Zwilling JA Henckels for our wedding 15 years ago, but one of the steak knives was long gone and one of the other knives broke recently. The rest of the knives still have some life, but some are definitely looking a bit worn. I thought 15 years was…

I've learned a few things about knives over the years

One of the first things will be the handles. I had a few knives that I liked, but over the next few years their beautiful wooden handles, held in place by stainless steel posts protruding from the flat handle/knife base, broke. I tried to glue them back on and eventually taped the wood in place so I could continue slicing the peppers for food. Another looks through this stainless steel. I just find rust spots awful. So what I can say is that just by looking at this set I can tell that those who

Wow they put my previous high end knives to shame

I have a good set of expensive knives that are very much appreciated by everyday cooks. They cost a little more and they're 15 years old, so they'll probably cost twice as much these days. Still these knives are ok but I expected the steel to last a long time. I didn't understand this even though I used a professional sharpening system. Blade chipping will only get worse. Enter these knives. The quality is immediately evident when you see it. The grip and the full shaft immediately catch the…

Saveur Selects/Cangshan tip from a knife maker who has tried them all:

As a self-confessed cutlery lover, I have to admit that we have three blocks full of exquisite knives. We love owning knives from Wüsthof, Henckels and Asian brands like Mak, Global and Shun, including their Kaji chef's knife. I am new to Cangshan/Saveur Selects and very impressed. Please forget all the nonsense you hear about Chinese knives. Cangshan is the real deal, has an office in California and is unfailingly the best Chinese cutlery company. I have already used three Canghan lines and…
