Allows new aftermarket stereo to be installed in factory location. Fits Double DIN stereos with a maximum screen size/faceplate opening is 3 13/16" x 6 13/16" (96.8mm x 173mm). Better than Metra option

I first bought a Metra installation kit when I bought a new head unit for my Tacoma. While I liked the textured finish better, the fit was never great and the radio rattled a lot. Pulling the HU out for a quick rewire, I found the mounting brackets were broken and the unit was installed in less than a year. Month. I bought Scosche as a quick replacement as Revain had it in stock. Installation took some time, but is much more reliable than the Metra kit. I want it to have the same texture but it

Not the best product

I have a 2009 Toyota Tacoma and this product fits but has some issues. 1.) It's not as thick and strong as a standard bezel. It is also not structured like a building block. Therefore, there are some problems with visual perception. 2.) The brackets that attach to it are flimsy and won't snap into place as stated in the product manual. It's actually a rubber grommet that holds it together. This is likely made in China as the tolerances seem pretty loose. Someone in another review said the…

Scosche Installation Kit TA2053S9B ISO Double Din for 2009 Toyota Tacoma

GOOD: The gray color of the installation kit matched the color of the air conditioning/heating vents on my truck. THE BAD: (1) The left and right plastic ISO mounting brackets didn't stay in the mounting plate when I inserted the DVD payload through the mounting plate, and the included instructions didn't make it clear exactly where to move the L&R brackets ; it's just to say "by the way".
