It removes hard, rough skin. and is placed in narrow places near the toes.

My other half uses this after footbaths. This will make all his rough skin much softer and easier to walk on. Pumice stone is quite durable if not soaked in water. The narrow width allows you to reach the edges of your foot and toes, unlike larger tools like rasps. Overall he's happy with it. and for $7 it's a good price so I'm giving it four stars. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary.
