I would love to find a smaller bag that is capable.

Tried to find another bag suitable for use with Seachem Purigen but no luck, wanted to find a smaller bag to put the product in but it did, a bit large for my use, but I will enforce them. I would give 5 if the size was smaller.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Works well but I wish they had a zip

Tying the end of this bag does not allow you to fit it directly into the bin filter compartments as far as I have used. I wish their ziplock pouch had the same micron rating, it would perform much better and provide a flat and even surface for water to flow through.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

Poor factory quality control

Network quality is like any other. I bought 4 and 2 of 4 had holes in the bottom gasket where the weld didn't connect both sides together. I see that others have had the same problem. Very poor quality control in my opinion. The plastic inside the bag can be smaller if it's really needed to create the indentations around the bag.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Nothing

I give it a solid "MEH "

I really should have read the reviews but as this is a Seachem product I figured it would cost close to $18. The material is very hard and not very forgiving. This bag has NO CLOSURE MECHANISM. Not even a tip. I bought this to use with Purigen, but I need to use a package that actually closes when this stuff gets somewhere. For the price I could get a couple of 180 micron ziplock bags. I can just heat seal them.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
