Not like the videos on YouTube!

Able to sharpen small blades but leaves a very jagged edge. It's not as good for sharpening machetes or big blades as they advertise in their YouTube videos. It takes some metal off the big blades, but doesn't make them "razor sharp". I would recommend using a whetstone for smaller blades and a dremel or sharpener for larger machetes.

Kitchen Dining Scrap Sharpener

Does not work as shown in the video. After watching 2 different videos the sharpener doesn't stick to the blade and you get good traction on metal. Regardless of the angle, it won't bite into the metal to sharpen the blade. I tried several knives. From the chef's knife to the pocket knife. Don't waste money. It is much better to use a wet stone or an electric grinding wheel.

Can not complain. Is working!

I think there is a learning curve. He sharpened some large knives in combination with another sharpener I have. It took a while to get the blade angle where it should be, after that it seems to work fine. The main thing I found was that after sharpening I had to rest the blade on the ceramic to get a nice smooth edge. Overall I'm happy with it and I think the more I use it the better I get at it. The thick blade seemed to have a small scratch on the coating. With a very curved blade, I had to…

Sharpener sharpener

Sharpener sharpener. Easy to use. Goes with everything I've tried. Are there better methods of sharpening knives etc.? Probably. Is there a smoother edge to put on the knife. Probably. Is it possible to turn a dull knife into a sharp one faster and cheaper? In my experience no. I'm sure there are "snob sharpeners" out there who will poke fun at this tool and claim their method or tool works better. Read a few reviews and discussions on knife forums and you'll see. You'll hear things like "show…

Best Sharpening Tool - Hands Down

I've had one for over 30 years but I decided on another (still have the original, works great) and these are the best and easy to use sharpeners. The box came empty from Revain, we returned the money and ordered another one. Although we had already ordered another one, the company contacted us to apologize and offered a free replacement (also provided info on replacement blades). Also, they sent us instructions on how to sharpen the blades on our old one. We didn't need a free one, but we had a

Warning: Selectool is addictive!

I recently bought a Kershaw EDC knife and it was very sharp right out of the box. I love to tinker, so the first thing I did when I got home was to open up my Smith sharpener to try and get the best out of the blade. Well that was a mistake! Within minutes I dulled the blade to the point where it kept failing the paper test. Looking for a knife sharpener I immediately contacted Revain, after watching a demo video I decided to try Selectool. . Revain was delivered within two days. Cute as…

It's a great idea but the execution wasn't very good

This product shows promise for those looking for a small/portable/lightweight sharpener, many different items. However, I could not fulfill this promise; It's a great idea, but the execution wasn't quite there. It's not all that bad, but let me start with the cons first.* The overall feel is a little underwhelming. I know they were aiming for lightness, but it might have made sense to use a slightly thicker material. However, there is a lifetime guarantee. So if you damage them, you'll likely…
