Oh snap, it's coming! Best Windscreen and Popscreen

4 sets of replacement windscreens for the Shure MX-412 tabletop gooseneck microphone. Be sure to check which microphone you are replacing this part with to ensure compatibility. They often depend on the model number of the microphone.

Pros
  • Microphones and Accessories
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Works but was not carefully packaged

They work great but are quite expensive, around $20 for a 4 pack. Also, the foam on some I received was permanently crumpled. I expect them to arrive in excellent condition for something this expensive.

Exact fit for Shure MX418C stage microphones

Over time (after about 10 years?) the foam starts to degrade and needs to be replaced. Yes I know it's a windbreak so they're really needed outside. But help indoors, where only the wind comes out of the speaker and doesn't muffle the sound like some windshields.

Pros
  • Windscreen
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Nice mic case, doesn't fit my mic

I have an older Shure mic and was hoping this would fit, but unfortunately it didn't. In the end I cut out the plastic sleeve and just notched the foam to fit my mic. As long as nobody touches it, it works perfectly. Just a little "jerky" for the price. Too bad Shure still makes my mic bags.

Pros
  • Windscreen and pop screen
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
