Enhance Your Johnson/Evinrude Outboard Motor Performance with Sierra International 18-7801 Marine Fuel Pump Kit in White Review

This came with the fuel pump I bought here and after a few months I still have no exhaust smell. Much cheaper than the auto parts store and worth waiting two days for, which by the way was quicker than O'Riellys could get it!

The rubber seals in this kit are not compatible with petrol. They swelled and went away after installing them in my fuel pump. The sump gasket started leaking after turning to jelly and the aft gasket did the same, sending chunks clogging my carburetor.

I placed quite a large order of Sierra Marine parts, they were all excellent parts except for the fuel pump kit, it only contains half of what is needed to rebuild the fuel. Having said that, I highly recommend the Sierra Marine part as everything else I order was a piece that was as good if not better than the original parts.

The seals began to break and get into the fuel pump, fuel hose and carburetor which continued to cause problems with the boat. My husband took out the carburetors and cleaned them, found black rubber, put them back together and we got back on the water. Same problem. They pulled the carbs out and cleaned them again, black rubber, thought it was the fuel lines so they replaced them. same problem.
