It is on my pressure tank that serves the deep sink in my log cabin and I didn't want to use a tee on the tank without a pressure gauge. I really don't care if it's accurate, but it seems to be, which is a plus. It matches the pressure shown when the tank overflows and the well pump shuts off, and I really just needed a visual cue when the pressure is getting too high. The price was right, about $6, and it doesn't expire, so it suits me.

Somehow the needle went through that post at zero so here it is now. Not sure if the resolution is good enough to see the needle on the wrong side of the post It only lasted a few hours, but having only tried it over a month after purchasing it I can don't return it through Revain. First, I'm an engineer so I know what I'm talking about. One of the reviewers said that this device is filled with a viscous liquid. This is completely wrong as it is an air filled water pressure gauge. Upon receipt mine showed a pressure of just under 10 pounds while the needle was supposed to be resting on a peg slightly above zero. Obviously there is no 100% visual inspection before the parts leave the factory. Maybe I should and could have sent it back. But I know how they work and I know…
