The grease gun itself is great!

The grease gun itself is great! It's easy to use, perfect for small maintenance jobs and doesn't leak! Now. typing problem. Most negative reviewers complain about the top, not the grease gun. There is a relatively simple workaround to the problem. All you have to do is loosen it so it slides over the grease fitting, then tighten on the nipple and it all works great. To remove, loosen and remove again. Did! Otherwise, all you need is one more good review! If you want to occasionally lube, just…

Very disappointed: transfer fuel and lube

Sorry but I can't agree with the mostly good reviews on this grease gun. Mine has two HUGE flaws: 1 - The lid screw threads are so thin it just doesn't hold the lid. I know it sounds weird but I can screw it in until about 1/4" of the threads are showing and then it won't let me move any further and it will come loose. I think I pulled the top right once. , but after that, #2 - the piston stop that holds it when fully extended slips, allowing the (spring loaded) piston to enter the lube tube…

Reliable little grease gun

Like many people, I've found that you have to disassemble the nozzle to remove it from the grease fitting and yes it's a little annoying but once you understand that's the case it doesn't matter. Sometimes they're hard to reach and greasy so it's a little tiring, but that's okay. I've seen some that have more zip-off collars, but I haven't used many grease guns and this one seems very good. He was able to force lube through any fittings on my lawn mower that I needed servicing and did a great…

Great grease gun at a very reasonable price

This is the best mini grease gun I have ever had. I reassembled the gun and attached it so that the flexible hose came out at the top. I filled up a new tube of lube and started pumping, expecting to have to deal with an airlock. I pumped a few times and felt the gun pump out the lube at about the fifth pump. I gave two stars for "easy to remove" for one reason: the plunger doesn't lock very well in the loaded position. He kept wanting to free himself, which would have made a big mess since I…

Works well. Three mistakes!

Purchased to inject Groco Ulube into my boat hull through valves as recommended by the valve manufacturer. The device works well, but there are three issues to be aware of: * Instructions do not match. Groco Ulube lubricant cartridge. The full end of the cartridge has a protrusion that prevents it from being inserted into the pistol. I inserted the cartridge with the air bubble in the cartridge into the butt rather than the full end into the butt, leaving a ridge in the upper part of the gun…

The first impression is favorable. Not in the long term.

[Original 3 star rating downgraded to 1 star after more experience - see edit below] Looks like a decent inexpensive grease gun. It's not the best, but it's ok. You must be very careful when loading, as the handle can pop out of its recess and the lubricant will spill out of the tube. You don't have to hit the handle. All you have to do is hit the grease gun lightly. This will not loosen the Zerk fitting. I had to move it all the way to one side so it was at an angle and then pry it off with…
