SmartEra Female Plated Headphone Splitter Review

I bought this to split my headphones with built in mic into separate audio jacks. One for sound. One for the microphone. You are excellent at this task. Doesn't seem like the cheapest product I've used, but it doesn't feel like the best in the range either. It will do what you need it to do, and that's the most important thing.

Product does not work, therefore 1 star. Tested with 3 different headsets including certified Apple EarPods. So the other two headsets that originally came with this splitter should have worked. This splitter only produced feedback and noise, leading me to believe it is not wired correctly internally.

I have a 4 ring cable for my headset, so I cannot use microphone and headphones at the same time because my PC has two separate ports for it , audio sound through the cable sounded 10 times worse and the worst part was i couldn't call or talk at all on the pc so i bought it so my mic would work. Turns out they made the hole too big and instead of 3.5mm made it was more like 3.56 or 3.6mm which resulted in my aux end being loose and my mic still unusable as everything it did threw out a low hum,
