Received my SOL light a few days ago. It arrived pretty shabby, dusty and used. Other than that, it works great and is perfect for my dark handbags. I haven't had to change the batteries yet, but it seems very easy. The only thing I would like to improve is the brightness. It seems to me that for $30 it should be brighter, not such a glowing soft light. Overall I would recommend.

I originally bought these in Germany where they are made. I gave it to my wife who wanted to give it to someone else. They are mainly intended for a large lady's bag, but I keep one in my open briefcase where I sometimes have to use a flashlight to find things. I've already given some of these away. Stock up on Christmas or it makes a great gift anytime or just for your own use such as a backpack or briefcase.

I ordered two as gifts for the new year. Both worked when opened. One quit at the end of the day. The one that still works perfectly illuminates the deep dark purse cave. Another sits unlit and alone on a side table. Unfortunately, during the Christmas cleaning, all the simple return packaging was thrown away. To be fair, they haven't asked for a replacement yet. Let's say the rating was affected by excessive Christmas Day frustration caused by one of the two randomly not working.

This was sent to a friend who suffers from night blindness and cannot see in his black bags. I was looking for a lightweight bag on Amazon and came across this item and sent it to her in Florida. My friend calls it aspirin to her because its shape reminds her of aspirin and she's absolutely sure it's a great product. She was so happy that now she can look into all her handbags, which now have dark insides. Even happier is being able to use all the bags her husband gave her during their marriage

I thought it would be an interesting product perfect for my friend-who-has-everything. So I bought it for her for her birthday. This flashlight consists of two halves of a plastic body with batteries and a light bulb with a motion sensor in between. The two halves are twisted together.
