The picture shown is deceptive.

This is a good flux for BGA repair. However, the image shown is deceptive as it intentionally masks the size of the tubes. They are very small and about 1/3 stays in the small tube and is very difficult to pull out. Look for another package that shows true size.

Pros
  • No cleaning
Cons
  • Obsolete

Simply the best resin core soldering flux!

In my experience, no other flux works as well as ChipQuik! For circuit board repairs, reflow soldering and more, this flux does everything you could ask for. The solder flows better with this flux and adheres better to pads and components than lower quality fluxes. The only downside is that it's relatively expensive.

Pros
  • Tack Flux
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

Chip Quik Solder Flux

Chip Quik Solder Flux works well but "burns out" fairly quickly. After a few seconds of heat application, the flux appears to "run away" from the heat source and turn brown. Once it turns brown it becomes very sticky and difficult to remove with hot soap and water OR denatured ethanol (ethyl alcohol). Review revised - December 2018 Since then I have gained more experience with this flux and had some problems with my use. that is not right. The issues mentioned above were due to me applying too…

Pros
  • Squeeze Tube
Cons
  • New Competitors Have Appeared
