Put this in my son's 17 year old Jeep Cherokee for the subwoofers and amp performance. Works as advertised, now the lights no longer dim when the subwoofers draw power.

Resistor succumbed to charge slowdown (capacity and voltage rise). As with the resistor, after the capacitor charged to about 60% (7.5 volts), the remaining charge charged very slowly. After that, I just hooked it up to a power source with a key. Everything was good.

I like the way it looks and that's where it ends. It mounts and connects in the same way as most capacitors. I have true 0 gauge wire going to the amp and ground. I've followed the directions for everything and my amps still drop out every time the bass hits. It helps some, but when I'm guessing it might be 2 farads, and that's generous.

Ordered 1st December 2020 for my son for Christmas. Installed on 12/25/20 for Christmas. It worked fine for a month, and finally died on 02/01/21. He drove his truck maybe 10 times that month. Return failed because the return window closed on 01/31/21. Wouldn't recommend it.
